ZOLL, KRANZ, & BORGESS is one of the lead law firms in the country involved in the Heparin MDL. The Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation issued a Transfer Order on June 9, 2008, and all cases have been consolidated in front of Judge Carr in the Northern District Court of Ohio, Western Division.
On June 17, 2008, Judge Carr appointed David W. Zoll as Liaison Counsel in the Heparin MDL, and appointed the Plaintiffs’ Leadership Committees on July 7, 2008. David is also a member of the Plaintiff’s Executive Committee.
The Court held a Case Management Conference on July 9, 2008. The agenda included a significant amount of organizational issues and initial case management and discovery issues. The Court has issued two pretrial orders since then, one addressing the preservation of evidence and the other setting forth the appropriate methods of service on the parties.
