Bausch & Lomb’s ReNu® with MoistureLoc®
On May 15, 2006, Bausch & Lomb recalled its ReNu® with Moisture Loc® Contact Lens Cleaning Solution due to reports of fungal keratitis, an eye infection that affects the cornea and can cause permanent blindness. Symptoms of fungal keratitis include blurred vision, a red and painful eye that does not improve when the contact lens is removed, increased sensitivity to light, and excessive tearing or discharge. If you experience any of these symptoms, you should schedule an appointment with your optometrist immediately.
